We pride ourselves on bringing the world’s best brass band music, FREE OF CHARGE, to historic downtown Danville, Kentucky. Events begin on Thursday evening and continue through Sunday afternoon. We have found it necessary for both financial and programming constraints to not hold the Band History Conference at the 2010 Festival. At the moment we have every hope to hold the event in 2011. This year-long ‘sabbatical’ will allow us time to carefully study what we have done correctly and what we can improve, plus seek the resources for funding the event.

The Great American Picnic is the highlight of the Great American Brass Band Festival. Picnic table patrons decorate their tables in elaborate and colorful themes, while many fans bring lawn chairs and settle in for an evening of brass music under the stars.
