In front of Main Stage, Centre College campus.* Drop off will be in coned areas on Main Street. More details about this change will come in your picnic packet.
** Please note the new city enforced alcohol policy. No outside alcohol will be permitted on festival grounds. There will be a wide selection of libations available for purchase,. If you bring alcohol on the premises, we will be required to ask you to take it off premises.
** Beer, wine and other libations will be available for purchase. We will send an email in early May giving some options for pre-ordering wine and champagne.
Tables are 96 inches X 30 inches and come with 8 chairs. No extra chairs are permitted. Tables will be available from 5:00 pm –11:20 pm and cost $150.
Inclusive Table Options: Cue on Main, Jane Barleycorn’s Bar & Bistro, and Danielle’s Drive Away Cafe will have inclusive table options available. If you purchase an inclusive table option, you will receive an email just before the picnic with times and details related to catering.
Table Themes for Contest: The Overall Festival theme is the Roaring Twenties.
Great American Spirit Award: This table reflects the true spirit of the GABBF; as American as apple pie and prohibition.
The Cat’s Meow Award – This table shows true Roaring Twenties fashion in its decor. This table may look as though it would require a secret knock and password in true speakeasy style.
Razzle Dazzle Award – The winner of this award shows true creativity. This table is just over the top. The decorations/costumes are out of the box unique.
The Hemingway Award – This table is inspired by the classic twenties author and could be one for the ages. Whether you draw off one of his novels, short stories, or Mr. Hemingway himself, let your imagination run free.
Speak Easy Stage:
Between Main Stage performances be sure to listen for Billy Goat Strut Revue playing on the Speak Easy stage by Walnut Street.
In case of rain, picnic tables will be set up in the Chowan building, one block from Main Stage on the Centre College campus. Chowan will be open at 5:00 pm for table decorating and set up. The performance schedule will be modified with some performers at Chowan and some performers at Norton Center.
