The Great American Brass Band Festival is a Festival that celebrates brass music and is in its 31st year. The Festival happens every June in beautiful downtown Danville, Kentucky. The Festival is a free, family-friendly event. Bands and visitors come from all over the United States and beyond.

Mission

The Great American Brass Band Festival is a community event showcasing brass band music through performance and education. The Festival preserves brass band music and explores its cultural influences through a variety of programs and presentations, featuring the best brass musicians in the world.

Accessibility

Please note that due to festival location change in 2021, we do not have a specific handicap parking area.

Handicap street parking downtown is available, as well as handicap spots in the City Parking Garage on 3rd and Walnut.

Handicap accessible bathrooms are still available.


The GABBF has been conscience of our attendees with disabilities. We have a handicap accessible parking lot that is close to the main stage. We also provide golf cart shuttles, free of charge, from the parking lots to the main stage area. We offer handicap accessible bathrooms for both male and female attendees. We are happy to individualize an accessibility plan to suit your needs. Please do not hesitate to call us with questions, concerns or ideas.


We have a number of volunteer opportunities for people with mobility concerns, hearing impairment and mild intellectual disabilities. Contact us for full details.
